Mike is the Choral director and Musical theater director at St. Pius X Catholic High School in Atlanta. He also serves as the director of music at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming, GA. He received his Bachelors of Science in Music Education from UNG and a Masters in Music Education from UGA. Mike joined Orpheus in 2025.

Matthew Becher is a Music Specialist at Benefield Elementary School. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Berry College. Matthew joined Orpheus in 2024.
Conductor
Jeffrey Bauman serves as Professor of Music at Young Harris College. He is also the Music Director at First United Methodist Church of Union County. He holds a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from Bowling Green State Univeristy and Master's Degrees in Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting from Bowling Green State Univeristy. Jeff is a founding member of Orpheus.
Kenneth Boykin, Jr. is the Choral Director at Carver Middle School in Harris County. He also serves as Choir Director at Higher Ground COGIC of Columbus, Ga. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Young Harris College. He is currently serving as the GMEA District 3 Chair as well as the GaDOE Fine Arts Advisory Council. Kenneth joined Orpheus in 2022.
Drew Bowers is the Director of Choral Activities at Milton High School. He also serves as Director of Music at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Shorter College and a master's degree in Choral Conducting from Louisiana State University. Drew joined Orpheus in 2019.
Antoine Bray is the Choral Director at Harris County High School. He has served as Choir Director for The Infantry Chapel on Ft. Moore. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Valdosta State University and a Post-Baccalaureaten in Music Education from the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University. Since his debut as music director for All Shook Up (2012), he has led the music for nearly every LSPA stage production, notably: 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (2017), Company (2020), and summer junior productions like Madagascar and Once Upon a Mattress (2023). Antoine joined Orpheus in 2020.
Cole Brown holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Young Harris College. At the moment, he is subbing in anticipation of going back to do a masters degree. Cole joined Orpheus in 2025.
Conductor
Jay Champion is the Choral Director at Lost Mountain Middle School. He holds bachelor's degrees in Music Education and Music Composition from Louisiana State University and master's and education specialist's degrees in Music Education from the University of Georgia. He is sought after as a clinician, guest conductor, music technology instructor, composer and arranger. His choirs have sung at two GMEA conferences, the Georgia ACDA conference, and will perform at the ACDA Southern Region Conference in 2026. He has performed and recorded with the LSU A Cappella Choir, the Moses Hogan Chorale, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and Chamber Chorus, and Coro Vocati. Jay joined Orpheus in 2021.
Charles Claiborn is a retired high school choral music teacher. He taught for 30 years. He currently serves as a Choir Church Director and a Community Chorus Director. He holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia and an educational specialist's degree in Educational Administration and Music Education from Georgia State University. He has perviously served as GMEA State Choral Chair, Georgia ACDA President, and Head Adjudicator for LGPE. Charles joined Orpheus in 2016.
Caleb Cole is a Masters student in Choral Conducting at Georgia State University, where he serves as a Graduate Assistant. In this capacity, he co-conducts the Repertory Singers and teaches Aural Skills. He is the Bass Section Leader at St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal Church in Brookhaven, Ga, and is the chair of production for Orpheus Men's choir. He is also the facilitator for Voces Amicis, a choir of GSU students and alumni. He has previously served as the Choral Director at Rabun County High School in Tiger, Ga where he taught choir, piano, guitar, and music appreciation. Caleb Cole is a graduate of the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University. Caleb joined Orpheus in 2020.
Jared Duncan is the Director of Choirs and Vocal Music at DeKalb School of the Arts. He also serves a Choir Director for Dunwoody Baptist Church and Bass Staff Singer for Dunwoody United Methodist Church. He holds a bachelor's degree in Choral Music Education from the University of Kentucky, a master's degree in Music Education from Campbellsville University, and an education specialist's degree in Choral Music Education from Auburn University. Jared joined Orpheus in 2022.
Matthew Elsey is a full-time master's student at the University of Georgia where he is pursuing a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting. Prior to his studies, Matthew served as choral director at West Hall High School. After he graduates, he intends to continue teaching at the secondary level.
Tom FitzStephens is the Director of Choral Activities and Music Education at Clayton State University. He holds a Bachelor of Choral Music Education from The University of Michigan School of Music, a Master of Music in Conducting from Michigan State University’s College of Music, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Music Teaching and Learning from Georgia State University. He also serves as conductor of Harmonia Atlanta. Tom joined Orpheus in 2024.
Ladell Fortune is the Choral Director at Flat Rock Middle School. Under his direction, choirs at Flat Rock Middle School have previously performed at the 2023 GMEA Conference and GA ACDA Conference. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Georgia Southern University and a master's degree in Music Education from Boston University. Ladell is also the Director of Worship and Arts at Star Community United Methodist Church in Stone Mountain GA and the Co Director of The Wendell P. Whalum Community Chorus in Atlanta, GA. He currently serves as Co-Chair for GMEA District 6. Ladell joined Orpheus in 2023.
Dr. Timothy Gale is a retired Choral Music teacher. He taught for 40 years before retiring. He taught he majority of his career at West Hall High School. He currently serves as Choir Director at St. Paul UMC, Gainesville and spends time assisting fellow conductors. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Carson-Newman University, a master's degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas, and a doctorate in Vocal Performance from the University of Memphis. During his time at WHHS, his students achieved much success, including MusicFest Orlando Grand Champions, WHHS Select Women’s Chorus GMEA Performances, and WHHS Select Women’s Chorus Southern ACDA Performance. Tim joined Orpheus in 2019.
Dr. Cody Goss is the Director of Choiral Activities at Rome High School. He also serves as Director of Traditional Music and Worship Arts at Rome First United Methodist Church. Additionally, he serves as Adjunct Instructor of Music and Worship at Mid-America Baptist Theoligical Seminary. He holds a bachelor's degree in Vocal/Choral Education from Jacksonville State University as well as master's and doctorate degrees in Choral Conduction from the Univeristy of Alabama. Cody joined Orpheus in 2022.
William Hall is the Choral Director at Etowah High School. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Georgia Southern University and a master's degree in Choral Conducting from Louisiana State University. Will is a founding member of Orpheus.
Kevin Hibbard is Director of Choirs Emeritus from the University of West Georgia. His experience also includes public school teaching, church choirs, community choirs, and boy choirs. A graduate of Luther College, he holds MM and DMA degrees from Arizona State University, with additional graduate work at Westminster Choir College and Kent State University. Dr. Hibbard is Music Director of Collegium Vocale community chorus and Choir Director at Grace Lutheran Church in Carrollton. Kevin joined Orpheus in 2017.
Lyman Hinson is the Choir Director at Putnam County Middle School. He leads the Milledgeville Singers Guild on Monday evenings sharing choral music to the Middle-Georgia community. A proud graduate of the music programs from Mercer University (M.M.) and Berry College (B.A.), he’s passionate about bringing harmony to the classroom and beyond. When he’s not directing choirs, you can find him in Macon enjoying life with his wife and their three cats. Lyman joined Orpheus in 2023.
Greg Hucks is the Director of Secondary School Choirs and Coordinator of Co-curricular Arts K-12 for Atlanta International Schools. He also serves as a Staff Singer at Northside United Methodist Church. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Jacksonville State University. Greg joined Orpheus in 2016.
Dr. Paul Neal is the Director of Choral Activities at Berry College. He holds a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from Rice University, a master's degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Oklahoma, and a doctorate in Choral Conducting from the University of California, Lost Angeles. Paul joined Orpheus in 2016.
James Ranson is a professional entrepreneur. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music and English from Principia College and a master's degree in Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University. James has sung semiprofessionally in five states. Highlights include three years with the St. Outside of Orpheus, James currently sings with Atlanta Master Chorale. James joined Orpheus in 2023.
Max Rampley is the Choral Director at Alexander High School. He also serves as Director of Music Ministries at Sam Jones Methodist Church, Cartersville, Ga. He holds a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from Reinhardt University and a master's degree in Choral Conducting from Georgia State University. He was taught by Judson Whitfield, a fellow Orpheus member. Max joined Orpheus in 2022.
Bobby Reidling is the Choral Director at Walnut Grove High School in Loganville, Georgia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Brenau University, a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Master of Music Education from the University of Florida. He is currently in the final year of his Doctor of Music Education at Liberty University. In addition to his work in the classroom, he serves as Assistant Pastor at Loganville First United Methodist Church, where he directs the music ministry. Reidling is a passionate educator and advocate for student-centered pedagogies in music education. Bobby joined Orpheus in 2025.
Jeremiah Robinson is the Choral Director at Ridgeview Charter Middle School. He is also a Staff Singer at Roswell Presbyterian Church. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Kennesaw State University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Choral Conducting from University of South Carolina. Jeremiah joined Orpheus in 2022.
Stephen Rotz is the Choral Director at Woodward Academy and the school's Performing Arts Chair. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Shorter College and a master's degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Alabama. Stephen is a founding member of Orpheus.
Trejohn Skinner is the founder of TreeHouse Creatives LLC, a multimedia production company specializing in photography, videography, and creative direction. Through TreeHouse Creatives, he provides a collaborative space where artists and brands can explore storytelling and visual artistry. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Business Administration and Management from Berry College. In addition to his entrepreneurial work, he serves as Payroll and Scheduler at Live Nation Entertainment, overseeing staffing and operations for Chastain Park Amphitheater. Trejohn joined Orpheus in 2024.
Carter Still is the choral director at Brookwood High School in Gwinnett County. He received his Bachelor of Music Education degree with an emphasis in voice from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina in 2008. He earned a Master’s in Music Education from the University of Georgia in 2015. Mr. Still has served as the choral director for Brookwood High since the 2019-2020 school year. Carter Joined Orpheus in 2024.
Sam Spears is Director of Music and Worship at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church in Dacula, GA. He earned a bachelor's degree in Voice Performance from Furman University, a master's degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati, and a doctorate in Choral Conducting from the University of Miami. Sam joined Orpheus in 2025.
Dr. Chris Walters is the Director of Choral Music at the Westminster Schools of Atlanta. He is also the Organist/Choirmaster at St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church in Marietta. Holds a bachelor's and master’s degree in Vocal Music Education from Vanderbilt University, a master’s degree in Choral Conducting from Emory University, and a doctorate in Choral Conducting from Boston University. Chris joined Orpheus in 2024.
Ryan Wason is the Chorus Director at Lambert High School. He also serves as the Music Director for the Acting Troupe of Lambert and Performing Arts Department Chair, and was recognized as the 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education with a Voice Emphasis from Heidelberg College (Tiffin, OH). Ryan joined Orpheus in 2017.
Ross Wason is the Application Integration Specialist for Forsyth County Schools. He holds a bachelor's degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from Miami University (Oxford, OH) and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University. During his time at Miami, Ross sang in the Miami University Men's Glee Club, under the direction of Dr. Ethan Sperry, and served as a student conductor. Ross joined Orpheus in 2023.
James Williams is the Choral Director at Dacula High School. He also serves as Choral.Chair for GMEA District XIII. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Furman University and a master's degree in Choral Conducting from Georgia State University. He is also an active conductor, clinician, and LGPE adjudicator. James joined Orpheus in 2017.
John Womack is the Choral Director at Mountain Zion High School, Jonesboro. He also serves as Director of Music at All Saints Lutheran Church, Lilburn. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Brenau University. In addition to singing in Orpheus, he is also a member of Atlanta Concert Ringers. John joined Orpheus in 2016.
